On August 15, 2011 - Another fake assurance came from PM that "We are continuously monitoring the situation (on inflation) .. Finding a solution to this problem will be our top-most priority in the coming months". If you notice, Nothing happened in last 6 months.

On October 19, 2011 - After doing nothing for more than an year, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today expressed confidence that inflation would come down by the year end.
