US Attorney General Would Resign If Biden Orders Trump Action

Although he admitted he didn’t believe Joe Biden would ask him actually to take action against predecessor Donald Trump, Merrick Garland said he would refuse to do so if he was put in that position.

Garland insisted Justice Department indictments brought against Trump for documents and election fraud have not been timed to derail the Republican frontrunner’s 2024 campaign.

He also defended himself from Republican allegations that he was going easy on Hunter Biden in the investigation into his indictment on gun charges, claiming that the President was not meddling in the inquiry.
