Sudan appeals for aid after landslide kills more than 1,000 people in single village in Darfur

A devastating landslide in Sudan's Darfur region has reportedly claimed the lives of around 1,000 people in the village of Tarasin. The Sudan Liberation Movement-Army appealed for international aid, describing the village as "completely leveled." The UN is mobilizing support, but access is challenging due to bad weather and ongoing conflict.
