Following the West Indian Day Parade in Brooklyn, multiple shootings and a stabbing injured at least seven people, according to the NYPD. The violence unfolded across four locations in Crown Heights despite increased police presence, including checkpoints with metal detectors. Last year's parade was also marred by a fatal shooting.
