GST collections rise 6.5%, driven by domestic sources
Postado
India's GST collections surged 6.5% to ₹1,86,315 crore in August, fueled by a 9.6% rise in domestic revenue, offsetting a slight dip in import collections. Net GST revenue increased by 10.7% due to reduced refunds. Experts suggest holding back refunds could negatively impact manufacturers and exporters amid geopolitical uncertainties. While most states saw growth, Manipur experienced a sharp decline.
